The place where the restaurant is situated is not very nice, it's rather old and would need some refurbishment, but the typical greek food and the nice service of the owner make this place a good bet if you like typical homemade greeek food.

Good authentic greek meal (and wine), friendly staff with subtle imperfection in service. Very good value/price ratio. Only one thing regarding authenticity of this restaurant - they want to have greek seaside tavern in the basement of czech castle from 16th century. It was too much for me, rather "disneyland" than authentic atmosphere.

Agiu georgiu is located in areal of Poruba castle. In summertime you can choose outdoor sitting. Every day is preprared fresh food of a day but you can use fixed menu, which is changed by seasons. This place was everything I expected greek cooking was suppose to be. Reservation isn´t necessary. I love the way of preparing "Baked potato" Taverna... More

The place was a bit cold, but the food did warm you up a bit. We had the place to ourselves which is probably explained due to the fact it was lunch time and its not quite in the centre of town, but its worth going out to. The food is great, service is quite good.
