It has an interesting quasi French 1920s feel to it with an extensive menu . I think that there must have been 50 items on the menu so you should find something you like. My god daughter and I had the avocado salad ( her choice- it was fine but not spectacular) and then a rich pea soup which was... More

Cafe Louvre it's a great place to meet with friends or for casual meetings. They have also a Cafe near the galleries, that's even cosier and more modern than the one upstairs. You should try some delicious milk-shake with a first class chocolate cake. Or in winter times their teaspoon-eating hot chocolate (it's the real thing, literally melted chocolate!). The... More

Older, renoed restaurant done right. Everything we had was excellent. The prices were also good, not what you would expect of such a classy looking place. It was busy with locals - agood sign. It was a few blocks from our apartment so we often found ourselves there.

As a Prague citizen, I go often to this café when I want to meet someone. The café was one of the favourite place of Einstein when he was professor at the Prague German University 1911-12¨, as well as of many Prague intellectuals of all times. I love there everything: the coffee, home-made cakes, lovely snacks, excellent healthy food. And... More

Great place to go for a date or just to meet your friends. Food is good, but nothing super special....but the rest is excellent and reasonably priced. This cafe/ restaurant has excellent wibe...And if lucky, you can meet some famous people like actors, politicians, writers etc.

Just perfection, even with Czech service attitudes (still very good and better than most) a slice of History here, must visit.

This cafe could be a great place in the city center where you can have a breakfast with friend, client, anyone, but... unfortunately, it is not. I had tasteless scrambled eggs which looked like they are blended instead of scrambled (it looked like runny egg puree), orange fresh juice was mixed half with water and together with overpriced pastry (EUR... Very noisy. We popped in for diner and it was packed. The noise level was incredible for a restaurant. We decided not to stay.

We liked Cafe Louvre so much, we went there twice during our week-long stay in Prague. We went for breakfast both times, and loved it. The cafe is beautiful, and its decor makes you feel like you've gone back in time. The basket of breakfast breads was delicious, as was the coffee, which comes in a cute little china coffeepot.... This place has the "turn of the century" style, feels special an unique. Even so, it is actually cheap, and the food is good ( try the Poppy and Plums Strudle). As it is anywhere in Prague, the waiters can't smile, but it doesn't hurt the experience.
