This establishment (www.suteren.com) is in close proximity to the Gehry buildings and the National Theatre, across from the Vltava River, was a real find. Its coziness was enhanced by the warm terra cotta floors and ancient wooden ceiling beams. The lighting was retro-1970’s fixtures. An elaborate, large fish tank rested on one side of the room. Its small bar was... More

At 9 pm on a Saturday evening we were walking along the right bank of the Vltava from our Aparthotel City 5 looking for a pleasant restaurant that wasn’t booked out. We happened to notice Suteren in the basement with very attractive decor. It was a great choice. After starters we had the Madagaskar beef and the duck, both excellent.... More

As the title suggests - this is a lovely little restaurant; about 15-20 minutes walk from Old Town Square. My girlfriend and I had spent a long time trying to find a decent looking restaurant offering reasonable value and Suteren certainly delivered. The restaurant is off the main tourist streets - offering a stylish (but peaceful and relaxing) dining room.... More

Like the previous reviewer this was the best restaurant that we visited in Prague. We were in Prague for 4 days and visited for dinner, lunch and one afternoon just for a wine pit- stop as we liked the ambience so much!!!! I am a light eater so on one occasion just had 2 of their starters, the spring rolls... More

The best meal we had during our 5 days in Prague (and 5 days in Vienna, for that matter)! We walked by this place numerous times and were finally lured in by their sign advertising roast goose. The roast goose was absolutely magnificent, delicious and juicy with a perfectly crisp and crackling skin and came accompanied by succulent and sweet red... More

We visited suteren on the advise of our hotel and were definately not disappointed. There was a table of 6 when we entered but they went quite soon after and noone else dined. Saying that the food was excellent especially the steak and the service was the best of our whole trip. Very good value for money. Visited for our... More

Wwe went there tonight for dinner - 3 adults and one child. The place was empty when we entered and no diners came during our 2 hour meal. The meal itself was very enjoyable and the service excellent. The outstanding dishes were the carpaccio appitizer and the peppered steak main course. The Czech wine suggested to us was excellent and... More

I've only been once, but I enjoyed it immensely and will definitely go again (if at all possible) next time I visit Prague. I opted for the special traditional Czech menu, rather than going a la carte, and was absolutely delighted with the quality. The presentation of the food was first class, the proprietor had good English, and the whole... More
