This was literally a stones throw from our hotel but we had initially decided not to go there because from the outside it does look like a tourist trap. It isn't !! This is the best of the medieval pubs in prague. We have been going to this pub for over 9 years on each of our visits to the city, sometimes for food but always for a beer and the atmosphere. Advisable to book in advance. Delicious goulash. Friday evening and Saturdays there are shows, belly dancing, dancing with fire. Excellent combination of price quality.

Tucked away from all the hubbub, this candlelit space has great food and friendly service. Try the pickled camembert!

Accidentally stumbled on this unique place. Staff was terrific and understood our questions and willingly gave recommendations. Cozy. Went there twice for meals and twice for "refreshments"...staff consistently courteous and helpful. Found out from people we met there that it was on Rick Steves' list. No wonder.

Ate here on our first night in prague, goulash is lovely and the soda bread dumplings are definately one to go for. they had an offer on, pint of red beer, 32 Kc, bargain and very nice. Great atmosphere and will be back the next time in prague.
