I had the best pea soup ever at this delightful little restaurant 1/2 block from our hotel [Pashtun Palace]. Good wine selection, lively staff, interesting music selection. The duck was also excellent, Lucy a perfect waitress. Also offers a nice breakfast.

Hi, we really appreciate your words. I agree Lucy is really good waitress and nice person. We will tell her about your review. The pea soup is so good cause is made just from pea and no flour is added. Hopefully we will see you back next time. Thanks Petr Stumpf Phenix restaurant team petr.stumpf@phenix-cafe.cz More

We were planning on dining at the Phenix Cafe for dinner, but we strolled by around lunchtime and couldn't help ourselves. The service was pretty friendly by eastern European standards. We sat inside but had a great view of the Vlatava river juxtaposed with the Prague castle in the background. Menu is a little pricey, but we were happy with... More

Excellent value for money. Good reasonaby priced wine choice. The menu is varied and each dish my partner and I had was excellent - we actually went back a second night after visiting a concert at the Municipal hall (also excellent) and sat down to a beautifully cooked meal at 10:30 until late.

Besides the beef tartare which was fantastic...I had the mushroom risotto and it was ok. A little bland for my taste and my sister had the sea bass which was nothing to write home about. Service was great and they were very friendly.

Hello, we feel dissapointed that we didn´t meet your expectation. We prepare whole sea bass on the grill and keep it fresh and not to change the taste too much. Simple but good. We are happy to hear that beef tartar you really liked and that the service was good. Hopefully we will satisfy you much better next time. Looking... More

We chose Phenix for breakfast on our first morning and it was just what we needed. Omelettes were generous and tasty. The coffee was strong, but not so keen on the accompanying little jug of milk which tasted sour and very creamy. Maybe better to order a cappucino but the coffee taken black was great. The service was efficient and... More

We visited a couple of times. The staff were very friendly, the food we had was simple but very tasty and it was very reasonably priced.

Phenix Cafe was excellent for many reasons. It is near the river and if you eat outside you have an amazing view. The service was great, the food was amazing (I had the duck), and the prices were very reasonable! I would definitely eat here again.

We were recently in Prague for four days, and were looking for a place not at the hotel to eat breakfast. We wandered into the Phenix Cafe and were pleasantly surprised to come upon a very extensive breakfast menu that was well priced and the food was excellent. The breakfast ranged from a simple pastry to eggs, omelets, yogurt with... More

If you visit Prague, don't miss Phenix. The Roast Duck in Vacuum was amazing. I've been to Prague 6 times now and this is my new favorite. It has great food, atmosphere, and value. It should definitely be in the top 5.

Dropped in for lunch and had an excellent soup plus salad. The latter was ok but not special, but nowhere in Prague did we find high quality vegetables or salad. Tried to eat again he in the evening but a special event had tied up downstairs, and the only tables upstairs were in a not so nice back room. Staff... More
