I have been in Prague for four days and i first planed to eat each evening in another place. But U Provaznice made me change my mind. Very friendly staff, excellent food, cheap and surely more than you can eat. And, most of all, helped me feel that tavern atmosphere that i was looking for in Prague

Looks like the real thing -- a bit labyrinth cellar with beer barrels. But, few locals, mostly tourists sent by Rick Steves and others. We found the ambiance noisy, the service poor, and the food just average. The story about the ropemaker's wife is the most interesting aspect of the place.
