I'm surprised by the poor reviews for this place, as we had a great experience! My husband and I were staying in Rincon and wanted an authentic Puerto Rican food experience, so we were told by some locals to go to the Red Flamoyan. Right away we liked it as it's a bit tucked away and the ambiance was intimate... More

We've been several times in the past couple of years and had wonderful meals. On our latest visit, we weren't so lucky. At the server's recommendation, my wife ordered a fish stuffed with lobster that had to be sent back because the lobster was raw. My over cooked Can-Can porkchop was a faded replica of the one I had when... More

Was told to go here from a local and wow! I got a little lost, word of advice take a sharp left turn after the bakery sign lol! Driving up it doesn't look like much, but once I walked in, I kind felt like I was in a tree house! Nestled into the woods it's a very quaint, cute place. The... More

We went to the Red Flamboyan after having seen the sign a few times while driving in Rincon. The outdoor seating on the patio is really nice, especially in the evening. Surrounded by lush trees, we felt like we were in the middle of a rain forest. My wife, a vegetarian, found the food to be good but not particularly... More

We had dinner at the Red Flamboyan last night with another couple and had a wonderful time. The drinks were good, the red snapper was delicious, and the mofongo was the best we've ever had. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. We love the setting - surrounded by exotic trees, we felt as if we were in another world. Highly... More

Nice bar setting. We went on the recommendation of someone we met at our hotel. We heard that they had good paella. The staff is disinterested, the paella not good. It tasted fishy (not in a good way) and the rice wasn't very good. If you can't get the rice right in a Puerto Rican restaurant, you've got issues. We... More

We've visited the Red Flamboyan several times over the last few weeks to find the service, food and presentation above average. Our samplings range from pasta dishes (carbonara, spaghetti bolognese) to fresh red snapper. This spot is "open air" so, a suggestion, bring some mosquito repellant just in case. Drinks are very reasonably priced.

I usually don't like to write a bad review, and always look for a something positive to say, but this was one experience that left a bad taste in my mouth, literally, My husband had a Pina Colada - no rum -- which was tasteless and mostly ice. He said he could get a better slurpy at 7-11. I had... More

I sorry you dont like what you order. A lot of people love our food, maybe you can try another food selection. The mofongo with broth and chicken this is how is served in all Puerto rican restaurant. This is a taditional to puertorrican. Next time you can try other mofongo like with shrimp, paella, pasta or other thing. We open... More
