I was able to obtain reservations by stating, "This will be my final birthday". In retrospect I realize I was completly lying but I had no way of knowing the future. These are the great mysteries of life that are mean't to be celebrated. Yes, I would go back if they will accept me. I loved the simple things like... More

It is a gift to people like me that there exist restaurants which take food and service so serious. I can reccomand to take the big surprise menu, I think it was 20 course of something crazy, but really fantastic... Go go go if you can.

El bulli was the most memorable evening at le table I've ever had and coming from San Francisco and having traveled the food world extensively, I'll always have fond memories of dinner and a tour of Ferran's kitchen at midnight after that fine adventure...

There is obviously a recurring theme with all the reviewers - what an experience but is it food. Like most foodies,it had been a dream for years to get there but with some 8 million requests a year and only 50 seats a night for 6 months, I assumed I had more chance of winning the lottery. And then the... More

after 7 years of trying to get in, we finally got a reservation at El Bulli, and as a farewell review, to those who are curious, and to those lucky few who still might go, this place is truly magical, however you must prepare yourself before you go, otherwise you might be very disappointed. Ferran Adria is a truly gifted... More

I know there are hundreds of reviews on El Bulli out there already so I won't go on and on about the meal. What I will say though is that el bulli was definitely an unforgettable experience, admittedly also because there's such a hype for the exclusivity of getting in. To put into context, these are things that happened and... More

Certainly the most interesting dining experience myself and my wife have ever had. Incredible craftmanship and tastes. It's beyond 'stars' and all that stuff. Here's how i described it a few hours after the meal. It was a real work of art. Nori seaweed with lemon (delicate and surprising) Mojito and apple flute (came as a four-inch long baguette with... There have been so many words spilled over el Bulli that mine won't add much that hasn't been said already - particularly since it's closing at the end of 2010, maybe not to open in the same form. If I have a single impression to leave, it is that in an ordinary restaurant, you could be reasonably confident of attempting... More

Apart from being nearly impossible to get a booking El Bulli is quie extraordinary as an experimential dining experience. This is not the place to go for four favourite steak and mash, it is a 36 course tasting menu of items that are individually crafted to surpise, delight and amuse. The variety of flavours, textures, shapes and consistencies never ceases... More

Having dined in El Bulli in 2007, people keep asking is it really the 'best' restaurant in the world. I think comparisons of that sort don't really make sense. It is quite impossible to compare the El Bulli experience with dining elsewhere as it is truly unique. The bald facts of our meal include such things as 6 hours of... More
