Great menu and service at reasonable prices - you'll leave very much content and keen to return. Much praise for this establishment. However, beware! The advertised opening times are not followed. Keen to make a return visit, we were most disappointed that they closed an hour before signposted "because business was slow" - not good for a facility in a... More

My family and I had lunch here during the week as it was one of the only places open for lunch on a Tuesday. The service staff were generally very friendly and attentive. The meals overall were pretty good. My husband and I shared the fish platter for two which was very delicious although I would suggest ordering extra salad... More

Nice cafe. Nice staff. Nice food! The price wasn't cheap - we had the platter for two - but it was really nice food, based around local marron (a tasty freshwater crayfish) and smoked trout. This did appear to be the signature dish, so I was pleased it was good! There was also a lot of cakes etc on display... More

The bread and salad were lovely as were the cakes that followed. A suggestion to slice the lettuce will make it easier to eat.

Excellent coffee, the muesli was very good (and I normally don't eat it toasted, but I'm glad I gave it a go). My son ate more than he should have of his eggs and sausages (very generous serve of four sausages, four slices of sourdough toast and two eggs) and he is quite critical! No fresh juice which is always... More

We had breakfast here mid morning on a Sunday... I think they had been very busy and there were still a lot of people around... The breakfast I had was nice (2 x poached egg with mushrooms on the side)... The only strange thing was that the waiter brought out just the eggs on plates to our table first and... More

This is the place everyone in town eats at! The food is fantastic and tasty. Even the cakes were great - almost all were home made. Get in early so you get a table.

We visited this cafe twice, and both times the staff were friendly and personable. The fruit toast was thick and delicious, although I could have used double the butter. It was a lovely place to start the day, looking at the beautiful photos around the walls.

Easter weekend saw almost everyplace shut, the Millhouse stayed open till 7:30pm, even although they normally close after lunch. Try the full breakfast, excellent, lashings of bacon, not too greasy, fantastic sausages. Great coffee1

Sunday mornings are complete with a coffee from Millhouse and a hearty breakfast. Highlights of their breakfast menu was the mushrooms in the big breakfast, the roast beef sandwich and the scrambled eggs. I cannot repeat again how good the coffees were. Simply delicious.
