We arrived at 6.30pm to realise we had actually made our booking for 7pm. My partner jokingly said hope that's ok.. And the waitress awkwardly said it would be a problem! We had to ask if it was ok if we just sit at our table and have a drink. Normally something the staff would offer wouldn't you think?! Then...

Wild Duck food is sensational. The flavours are great, service is excellent, just a great dining experience every time.
The quality of the food was amazing and well proportioned. Complimented with the recommended wines ensured a fantastic meal. On the downside the restaurant lacks atmosphere and is a little uninspiring which is a shame.
If this the fourth ranked restaurant then all I can say is that the first three must be out of this world.
The only negative for this restaurant is the space which lacks a bit of sophistication and has a bit of a club feel.

We went for the degustation menu. The food was outstanding especially the duck. A huge cut above the rest.

great food as usual, had the deguestation menu, superb, its not quick but then great food takes time
My husband and I spent Christmas Eve here having dinner. We'd read the review in the WA Good Food Guide and we really enjoyed the degustation menu on offer that evening. The food was immaculately presented, the wines matched perfectly and were delcious, and the service was perfect. I think our only negative comment was around it being so quiet...

This is my favourite 'special occasion' restaurant. I consistently find the food to be of the highest quality, the menu is inventive and the food magnificent. The curtains hung between tables help provide an intimate feel, and service is fast, polite and not too intrusive. Their degustation menu is an absolute must!
