A pub trying to set it self up as 5 star, food was ok, but waiter was less than knowledgable which spoilt the experience. More

The Brasserie is right next door to the Carrington Hotel and you can charge you meal to your room account if you are a guest there. The menu is not that extensive but they do what they do well. Its no fuss and no frills but a satisfying experience. More

We had lunch her with another couple and it was pleasant but not anything special. The brasserie is upstairs in the old bank building and maintains that quaint atmosphere which is nice. The food is good value for the reasonable price and its handy to get together with friends at an affordable price.l More

Lovely old building, great food. Service a bit slow but we weren't in any rush. More

We stayed in the area only one night and were glad we found this restaurant. We enjoy good beer mixed with creative hearty food and that is what they delivered. There was some creativity to the dishes but the portions were not dainty. There is a bar downstairs where we started with drinks thinking we were going to have to... More

We tried out both the brasserie and the bar during our visit there. Surprisingly nice setup upstairs, and we had high expectations based on reviews from both here and Urbanspoon. The Beef and Guinness pie was nicely presented, but nothing special in taste. The Chicken with cous cous was more special. Maybe a bit too sour, bit I found the... More

Had a fantastic meal at this lovely restaurant, it was one of the highlights of our trip and so good that we returned the next night as well! We can highly recommend the beef pie and the puddings were delicious too. Service was excellent, something that we did not experience in many restaurants, and it was excellent value for money... My wife and I dined here on a Sunday evening a couple of weeks ago after reading pretty good reviews on Trip Advisor. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. The menu is quite limited and the service was not very friendly. I ordered a pork cutlet which was nothing special and quite a small serve. My wife ordered a steak, as... More

A week in Katoomba with family - mum, dad and two boys (under 7) and we found this place by accident and what a great find - we ended up going twice (for lunch - midweek). It's not silver service, but you don't go to a pub for that. However it was well above pub grub, as other reviewers have... More
