The food and service were both excellent and we really enjoyed looking across the water towards Paihia watching the sun setting until we had to get up and catch the ferry back.

Best in Russell...do not waste your time going anywhere else :)We went to the Duke on our second night for dinner and regretted not going back to Gables- we ended there for coffee and dessert!

I absolutely loved my experience here. We were seated right next to the open window which allowed a slight breeze in and gave us an almost unhindered view of the small harbour of Russell. Excellent foodie menu, nicely presented and really nice. The staff were great and its a nice venue to eat in. If the weather is good, book a table at the front window.
