If you are a big family don't be shy to ask our friendly staff to join tables, we are more than happy to do that for you. Outside are more tables and seating with umbrellas for shade. A view of our Clock museum with flowers surrounding a huge sundial gives plenty to entertain visually while enjoying your meal. Tour buses regularly arrive not far from our doorstep with lots of parking and a big play area for children just around the corner. Our definite favourite for big breakfasts in Whangarei. We try to get here once a month or so. Fast friendly service, pleasant outdoor eating area, reasonably priced. They have recently extended their premises which must tell you something. The rest of the menu isn't bad either!

Serenety Cafe is situated in the Town Basin which is a beautiful area of Whangarei. They have a full kitchen menu and great cabinet food. Their exceptional dishes are mushrooms on toast, beef burgers, fish and chips, mushroom bread cases and chocolate caramel slices. All made in the cafe.

If you can clean the plate you deserve a medal. Steak is very generous, cooked perfectly and still tender. They dont scrimp on the chips either!

Right next to where the buses stop this cafe is in the best position to attract the coach trade when they stop for a break. my partner and i have been to serenity cafe several times,upon recognising us they have greeted us with a warm welcome and a smile followed by wonderfull food and exceptional coffee,now our favourite we will most certainly be back.

This cafe is in the Town Basin shops, in saying that there's not really a water view but of the square and gardens.
