The Red Ochre has delicious food, with decent size servings that don't leave you hungry. The location is very nice and there is also a large car park, removing the most frustrating feature of dining in the Adelaide CBD or North Adelaide area. The staff were very friendly and attentive, in spite of there being a number of large groups... More

I entertained Japanese customers here during a visit to Adelaide. Staff were welcoming and provided excellent friendly helpful service. Food was local, great and well presented. I won't hesitate to return! Expensive but worth it. More

If you come to Adelaide this place is a must-try. Slightly hard to find but really worth it. The cafe on the ground floor is more low-key while the restaurant on the first floor commands fantastic views of Adelaide and the Torrens. The food is an imaginative take on "bush-tucker" with a contemporary slant. The Kangaroo is a highlight as... More

The restaurant is in a nice setting. The decor is pure kitch. The noise level was overwhelming. The service was so so. The meat eaters of the group were very happy with their lamb, steak and skippy. I just didn't feel like a hunk of meat, so ordered the pasta in an entree size (so I could have dessert). When... More

We enjoyed our visit to Red Ochre (just a little hard to find). My meal (kangaroo carpaccio) was probably the most unusual and tasty meals of our trip. Great location, nice view, but a rather loud and noisy large party did make it difficult to converse. More

This is the place to try contemporary Australian cuisine. Every time we come here, we always end up ordering the fantastic grill platter for two (with a serve of their very yummy fries). It's a massive meal and definitely one for meat lovers. I recommend sharing an entree and a dessert if you order one of these platters, unless you... More

Excellent wine suggestions and mix a great G & T but the decor of the place is stuck in the 80's quite like Bennalong in Sydney (another overrated restaurant). The view is fantastic, in a nice quiet spot considering so close to the city. Our waiter was very knowledgeable but off his face on some chemical cocktail. It was quite... More

We have taken overseas visiotrs many times. The emphasis on modern Australian cooking is really good. The use of Australian bush food is always pleasing. Prices are high but worth it.The venue is on the weir on the River and provides a nice view. More
