While in Surfer's Paradise (well named) on the Gold Coast in Australia, we were invited to join friends at this Benihana Japanese Restaurant in the Marriott Hotel. What an experience. We were sat around a large cooking plate (approx 6feet x 4feet). There were nine people sitting round three sides while the chef prepared our food in front of us.... More

Although not a cheap dinner (approx $55 for onion soup, some prawns, chicken fried rice, and steak and chicken), it was delicious and a great experience. Our chef was hilarious and danced, sang, and threw prawns at us for us to catch in our mouthes. Definitely worth doing if you haven't ever been to tepanyaki before. More

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Benihana is quite an entertaining dining experience and our teppanyaki chefs really love to put on a show for everyone! The restaurant offers an Earlybird special for $30.00 per person where you can choose from hibachi chicken, steak or tofu and the banquet is served with onion soup, Benihana salad,... More

great value in the early bird special for $30.00pp. Kids loved the show and most of the food. We were seated with another family with young children so the communal dining suited us. go for an early session with kids and a later if just adults. goes for about an hour which again is fine with children but did seem... All of the team here at the resort are so happy to hear you and your family enjoyed your recent dining experience at Benihana. It is a very popular restaurant especially with families as the teppanyaki chefs do put on quite a show which the children always love! Our $30.00 per person earlybird special has been so popular that we... More

Went for a birthday dinner on the early bird special which runs until June. Excellent value for 30.00 pp we had the most wonderful dinner anyone could wish for. The lovely girl who took our booking asked if it was a special occasion and when i advised a birthday she organised a decorated cake with the birthday girl's details. It... More

Good food, fantastic service and awesome show! Only bad thing is, that it's communal dining. More

Firstly, a tip : book the first day of your holiday or better yet before you leave home if you are planning a big group or Friday or Saturday night. This place is always busy. I take my daughters aged 12 & 6 and they sit watchings the chefs cook away and love the food. It's a great night out... More

My family and I dine here each time we stay on the Gold Coast, it is exceptional. Great entertainment means the kids don't get bored which allows the adults to enjoy the evening without the typical stress that results froom squabbling children. The beef is cooked exactly how you ask for it and the Moreton Bay bugs are devine! The... More

The place was boring, no atmosphere or good time vibe. We had a late sitting at 9pm, needless to say feeling pretty hungry by this stage. 35 mins later chef arrives to take the order. It was all done and dusted within an hour and was a very disappointing evening considering we took our daughter out for her 18th birthday.... More

Food was nice and the show the Teppanyaki chefs had done was good. But the restaurant will need to increase the portions a little more to make sure the client can leave the restaurant full. Probably good for small eaters but for those with a large appetite it may be a slight challenge if you do not order an extra... More

We took the kids (11 and 9) and the service and food were great. The waiter involved the kids as appropriate, while still recognising that we wanted a night out as well. It is not the cheapest night out, but the kids loved it which makes for a good night out. The scallops were superb! More
