We went with a group of 20. It took a lot of prompting of the staff to take our order after 30 mins, our entree arrived 2 hours later, again after prompting the wait staff. We had not had our. Ain course after a further hour. We left for baked beans on toast at home. More

We have been several times, we like the relaxed atmosphere, friendly service, open air courtyard for outside didning in nice weather. Chairs are comforable. nice decor, but of course it is the lovely food that we go for. Good selection at reasonable prices, lots of fresh ingredients and excelent sauces. More

I ate at Vietking with my partner and I can say that the vegetables were crisp and fresh, but the food is certainly not authentic Vietnamese. My chicken and vegetable dish was smothered in a sauce straight out of the bottle that I recongised as a Chinese variety from the supermarket. More

We found this restaurant by accident and sure glad that we did. Looking for a quick meal before Jest game, the five of us walked in without booking. The kunchtime speacials were generous in size. The pho was loveley as was the chicken and noodle soup which was in a lovely stock and perfect for the kids. The rice paper... More

My husband and I ate at Vietking on Saturday night, The spring rolls tasted as if hey had come out of a box. All the sauces were rubbish and tasted not remotely authentic. My husband had a bland vegi main dish and I had a bbq "marinated' beef which is cooked at the table. I was a bit concerned when... More

Understaffed. Young girls who have no idea about service and food very average. Don't expect great Vietnamese like you would get on Victoria st Richmond in melb. Needs work. Simple spring rolls were terrible. More

We came here the first time, and made plans to come straight back before we'd left the table. The menu is massive, which is a great excuse to keep coming back. So far the top picks have been the Soft Shell Crab with garlic and chilli and the Tamarind Grilled Fish. When we ordered the tamarind grilled fish, the waitress... More

We have recently returned from a trip to Vietnam and loved the food, my partner and I were excited to see a review (and a good one) in the saturday newspaper of a local place that seemed to have the most authentic Vietnamese menu. The service was poor, we had to ask for cutlery at every stage of our meal,... More

We went tonight after reading about this in newc herald last week. We suspected the reviewer didn't know what they were on about with authentic Vietnamese when they said " who goes to a vietnamese restaurant for coffee? Go down the road". Having just returned from Vietnam one of the best things about the place is the coffee! So we... More
