The restaurant itself decor wise is abit dated but nicely presented. The food was very average, as regular Thai food eaters we were disappointed at the quality & presentation. This is very poor Thai prawn cakes for entree that were burnt and we ordered Penang curry and got red curry. curry had hardly any chicken. Not much ambience either. More

In my opinion Larna Thai is among one of the top thai restaurants in Newcastle. I love the caramelised pork. You never wake up in the middle of the night with dry mouth from too much salt, as I have experienced with other Thai restaurants in Newcastle. Good value for money, nice service and good location. No flavour of any strong, fresh ingredients for which Thai is known. There was also a strong hint of frozen, bland vegetables. Will not return. Average service and dull atmosphere. Very disapointing all round! Much better Thai in Newcastle available. More

A cute little place, nice interior and great customer service! About as cheap as a dinner at the pub. For two mains and an entree to share it cost around $50. The mains were big servings and very tasty, so dont order a huge entre! We got the mixed to share. Overall very impressed! More
