Driving from Bulli to Wagga on a cold, wet windy day with my two kids and I thought we would stop and find somewhere to eat in Goulburn. Which we had never done before. We went to the Paragon Cafe, which was packed with people. I thought O No...we are in for a wait or this must be good food.... More

The Paragon is an institution in Goulburn to locals & travellers. It serves good old fashioned cafe food at reasonable prices. Menu is huge & servings are hearty. Always extremely busy. More

The setting at the Paragon is delightful. We had breakfast there - scrambled eggs, tomato, bacon. toast, fries. Fries for breakfast?? Hmmm. The scrambled eggs were tasteless. All in all the meal was average or below average. The price was right at $11, but the quality wasn't. I wonder if the restaurant manager ever orders a breakfast just to test... More

Their chicken caesar is pretty great for a lunchtime meal, and not badly priced. However, we went as a family (2 adults and 2 girls under 8) and it cost us nearly $120 which for a family meal is pretty expensive! More

The Paragon Cafe is a long-standing feature of the Goulburn streetscape, and has apparently been renovated several times over its substantial history. I visited on a Tuesday night and found that it was 'half price pizza and pasta' time, which made the pleasant meal even more pleasant. The venue is family friendly, has easy access, and the staff were polite... More

This decades-old eating establishments that remain unchanged and resist fashion has a charm of its own from when I first visited in the late 60’s to my visit this year has always been a great place to dine ( with a large following of locals, which is always an indication of good food ), excellent friendly staff, good generous food... This restaurant is popular with travellers and locals alike. It is characterised by a number of large, private booths where one can eat. The cuisine is largely basic Australian with an abundance of chips though there are Greek meals available. Essentially the food is good, basic tucker. More
