I have no idea how this place gets such great reviews, I went here on a recent trip from Sydney to Melbourne and was embarrassed that I suggested to a friend. We clearly arrived at the wrong time because we were too late to order toast and too early to order pasta, so we had a cake and coffee. The... More

Had a beautiful lunch at Green Zebra. Ordered their "garden" pasta and a coffee. The pasta was as good as you would get anywhere. The ingredients complimented each other perfectly. Oh, great coffee too. More

The Green Zebrea is famous for a reason - excellent coffee, lovely pasta dishes and very good breakfast. As expected in reagional eateries, the servings are very generous. The two fo us shared a breakfast and later that day a pasta dish and we both were full. For brekkie the prices range from $5 (toast ) to $16 (eggs atlantic... More

When travelling, the general rule is to get out of your hotel/motel and find a local spot for a great (and usually cheaper and more interesting) breakfast offering amongst the locals. This spot fits the bill perfectly. A broad and interesting breakfast menu, using fresh ingredients, and a great coffee. It sounds easy, but many smaller regional towns struggle and... More

The regulars flock there on a Saturday morning . I cannot understand why ! Is it the place to be seen ? The menu is limited and the venue just does not appeal to me or my wife so look elsewhere if you want some peace and quiet with your coffee More

I spent the night in Albury for work and walked into the Green Zebra for breakfast by chance. It was good luck! My breakfast was really tasty (eggs and extras), the fresh orange juice and coffee were all winners. The food wasn't super fast, but it wasn't terribly slow either. The free newspaper to browse whilst eating was a plus.... More

Green Zebra is always good. Good produce, good coffee, well cooked. No problems there. Unfortunately they have recently changed their menu and where once they had some very appealing non-standard and creative and vegetarian options, they now have become mostly conventional and vegetarians are not well catered for. Zucchini buttermilk hotcakes? Where the zucchini may have rolled past in the... More

I tried just the stock standard poached eggs with bacon. Overall good dish, but was not happy with the eggs and the dressing they use around the side of the plate to make it look "better". Good pasta's and take home options available. More
