We stayed at Rydges next door and ended up eating here three times. The first meal was fabulous - Mediterranean meatballs and lubneh that has us wanting the recipe, with the most friendly waitress and a charming going man on drinks. We came back for breakfast both for the food and the service. Breakfast was also great - Lebanese sausages,... More

A great take away option at the side of the restaurant itself - I was staying at the Rydges Hotel across the road and ordered 2 pizzas to go - just beautiful. Relatively cheap, I thought, with great friendly service. The restaurant appears to be busy all the time and this is always a good sign. Give this a go..

An impromptu evening and a visit to an old haunt, It was a spurr of the moment phone call that directed us to Victor's on Saturday night. we booked late and after a bit of juggling the 4 of us were granted entry. The old joint was not recognisable, they have really made the place look good, (it has been... More

Crispy skinned salmon absolutely delicious! Kids loved the wood fired pizza and spag bol, hubby happy with the chicken risotto, Everyone was happy with their choices. Prices are on the higher side, but the quality of the food was there.

This is not Lygon Street. The food is very bland but with a high price tag. My spaghetti marinara was just plain pasta with a bit of seafood placed on top, very boring. As a previous reviewer commented the service is very disorganised and unprofessionally run. The vibe is more La Porchetta than classy restaurant!

Eating my pasta as I type this. I ordered the pesto pasta and it is just pasta covered in a small slick of pesto cream sauce. For $35 for two pastas I recommend you go elsewhere. It has no absolutely no flavour. M partner got the amatriciana and it just tastes like a watery chilli tomato sauce. No hint of... More

There is no order in the way the waiters and waitresses serve, they are unorganised and don't work as a team, always walking back to the kitchen empty handed, passing tables that need clearing, orders taken, cutlery, glasses for the water - you name it they just walk past as ignorance is bliss. The atmosphere is poor, paint work is... More

Cafe Victor is one of my go-to eateries whenever I can't be bothered cooking. I simply love their pizza, it always has a lovely crispy base, with lots of fresh toppings, with a great flavour. My favourite is the vegetarian pizza, simple but my taste buds go crazy for it! And if you're in the mood for pasta, I've only... More

While the service was good, the pizzas here are very average. We ordered a large pizza and between two adults found it hard to finish it off, not because we weren't hungry, but because the toppings were certainly not the best quality. Also, a large pizza will set you back around $18. It's not value for money either. Would I... More
