The pizza was fantastic, combined with some apple cider and a wood fire made for a perfect and casual dinner to end a busy day out in the cool Queenstown air. It wasn't a busy night so we had a table to ourselves... the atmosphere of the restaurant actually made me want more people to come in so we could... More

We ordered a veggie pizza which was supposed to be loaded with veggies. It looked and tasted like a sprinkle instead on a very greasy pizza that was totally forgettable. More

Loved the whole experience. The huge open fire, chatting to one of the locals (he gave us some great tips of places to visit) bar while waiting for table, sharing a table with people we had never met and awesome food. We shared a large Pizza which was more than enough for two of us. Best Pizza I have had in... More

One of the best places to eat in Queenstown!! I had the spaghetti bolognese and it was delicious. Atmosphere and waitstaff are great. More

We always love their pizza's and the ambiance is always great particularly in winter when it is cold outside and warm inside with the roaring fire More

Ae are pretty fussy pizza eaters, usually preferring to make our own but this place has got it right. From the creaky wooden door, the dark but cosy interior with great fire, this place is something different. The freshly baked bread is delicious and the pizzas spot on. Great place to go for a dinner or quick meal when you... More

We returned to Queenstown with our teenagers after many years away and were delighted to find the Cow Restaurant still operating as it always has. What a little icon, great food, great service in this cramped little pizza place nestled amongst buildings in Cow Lane. We had a group of 17 grandparents, parents, teenagers and children so arrived around 5pm... More

My husband and I had supper here based on a Lonely Planet guidebook. It is kinda hard to find, and a dark, tiny, little place, but was a GREAT experience and I would highly recommend it! We had the pizza and garlic toast (a must-have) and lots of drinks to wash them down. Since it is such a small place,... More

We turned up early evening as you cannot make a booking here. We wanted a table for 5 and was told we had a 30 minute wait which turned out to be 45 minutes. The pizzas were good but not amazing but the atmosphere and general presentation of the place was pretty special so overall I gave a very good... More

Wonderful food at this establishment and very reasonable. Appeared to be full but seated us within 10 minutes. Very intimate and cosy. Had large log fire to keep everyone warm. We also visited there restaurant in Lake Wanaka. 5 stars More
