Being a great Indian foodie, we spent the evening at Bombay Palace restaurant in Queenstown. Service was of high calibre and the Scottish waiter was very accommodating with our requests. Sadly the quality of the food was not up to standard and the servings of Lamb Rogan Josh, Lamp Pasanda and Chicken Afghani contained virtually no meat at all. We... More

The waiter gave me a skeptical "Are you sure?" look when I asked for an "Indian hot" level dish. Understandable, because they do make it very spicy. It was very good, though. More

The service was great. I liked the fact that when you ask for Indian hot, they do make it quite spicy (unlike some other places that I have been to). More

We bought takeaway one night from the Queenstown branch, and takeaway another night from the Frankton branch. Overall, the takeaways from both branches were very good, as was the serivce, better than the other Indian restaurants we've tried in Queenstown in the past, so we can recommend them. The manager at the Frankton branch, Naheed, was very friendly and we... More

Good service and food. The atmosphere is quite Indian due to the decoration and the Bollywood videoclips playing all the time. We took home the leftovers and that was so well packed! Interesting that they took care to pack 3 dishes in one single container in a way they do not mix together. :-) More

We went here because walking past the previous night it was full.....so we gave it a go. Good decent indian food, we have the usual Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala, can recommend both. Excellent Nan. 2 curries and 2 nana and rice, 2 drinks cost around $NZ50, which was good. More

This is a must-eat place for lovers of Indian food. For something different, the cauliflower and brocoli gobi entry is especially tasty. The Tandori vegetable platter is equally outstanding and generous. Service is fast and friendly, and the manager ensures a welcome atmosphere. Highly recommended. More

Food was great but extras are pricey like a 6 or 8 dollar corkage fee. Make sure you book before you rock up, this place is very popular. We had to wait almost half an hour for a table. Wednesday night is 14 dollar curry night More
