Was looking forward to a meal here after reading the reviews however it disappointed. 3 stars is generous. its a limited menu, appears cheap but its small portions and far far too much salt in most of the dishes we tried. i've eaten at much better japanese restaurants for less.

This was an awesome little place. Hard to find as it is a somewhat hidden door, and you don't see what's inside as there are no windows to the street. It is a tiny pub atmosphere place, with plenty Japanese decoration and full to the top, it seems like the preferred place of the locals. The food tasted great, the... More

I ordered the bento box and asked that I not be given salmon which was a stretch since that was part of the order. Although the waitress wasn't sure that request could be accommodated, when I received my order it had ALL white fish! This place is a hole in the wall and worth your trip!

We have been to this Sake Bar quite a few times now since it opened. The staff are fabulous and authentic. There is always something new to try at minimal cost. Last night there were five special dishes and some fruity new sakes to try. Don't expect the best fish cuts when you get a plate of sushi for $15.... More

Great place to go for dinner, always had a enjoyable experience, good service and great sake. Try to stop in here at least once when in Queenstown.

Lovely little place with super yummy food (highlights were fried chicken, squid, green tea ice cream and of course the sake!). The staff are lovely and made us feel really welcome. We ate and drank loads and it was still less than $70 each which I thought was very reasonable. We will most definitely be back.

We only tried the food, so can't comment on the Sake. The food was tasty but small portioned. The ramen soup base was over salted and vegies were very small. Its a small place and could be quite noisy if it got busy.

This little sake bar is a piece of Japan in the heart of Queenstown. The range of sake was insane, and the prices were reasonable. The service was prompt and really friendly, and the atmosphere was really buzzing. It is a busy place and quite loud, so I wouldn't recommend bringing young children, but if you're in Queenstown you should... More

We ordered a spicy fiery ramen, pork cutlet curry and deep fried camembert cheese as appetizer. The appetizer came to $8.50 and it consisted of 5 chopstick thin cheese stick wrapped in pastry. Then the fiery ramen came to the table and it tasted so salty, I couldn't eat it at all. My boyfriend took a bite and even he... More

I am japanese and this place always gives the real atomosphere of an izakaya style restaurant in japan for me. Staff always try to watch customers to see what is needed to provide a great customer service. We do not have such thing as sake bomb in japan but i like it a lot, i thought it is a weird... More
