It's always fun bringing people here to eat.. The chef makes onion rings into a steam train, throws the salt and pepper in his hat, and chops fried egg at speed! The food is generally good (the yum yum prawns are always popular) although sometimes it depends on which chef you get on the night. Aki is really good. It's... More

Great Teppanyaki, right on Auckland harbour. Great choice of menus, seafood and meats. A good choice of wines and beers, among them Japanese ones. A great style of dining, or lunch, typical japanese athmosphere.

A group went here for my daughters birthday. Food was very good and the chef cooking at the table does an amazing interactive cooking display. Fun!!

Then we booked that night almost immediately as a few friends has recommended me so. On the night we had to wait for almost 20... More

Went to this restaurant, just looking for somewhere to eat. Went in and were pleasantly surprised, we like Japanese food and we eat it a lot, including in Japan. This was good, very, very fast and ot expensive Try it once, you will try it again.

The first time we went was ok - good price for some ok japanese. The second time was terrible. their prawns in yum sauce were over done to the point of releasing a layer of water that sat underneath the entire dish. Better to go to Genta any day!

My friends and I came to this restaurant at the recommendation of our hotel concierge. We had asked for suggestions of a good Japanese restaurant within walking distance of our hotel. The hotel is located right on Quay street, so it's conveniently located. The atmosphere is similar to that of Beni Hana in the US. I think were were looking... More
