We go to this restaurant nearly every weekend for Yum Cha (Dim Sum). It's probably Perth's biggest Chinese restaurant but the Yum Cha is great (never been there for an evening meal). There's always a queue formed before it opens at 10 (including us). By 11 the place is heaving and there is often a long wait to get in.... More

I have been to this restaurant a couple of times. The first time my friends and I came we were greeted nicely and served amazing food. It is a little on the pricey side but I liked how our order was taken by a senior gentleman (appeared to be the owner but we could be wrong?). He sat down at... More

ok the crowds and queues are bonkers on a sunday...but everyone is there for a reason. IT'S GREAT. Always hectic, good tacky glitzy. Lots of senior staff you'll have seen at dim sum for years...so they know their stuff! Wide selection of dishes on endless stream of trolleys, but you need to order and know a trick or two to... I went there for Sunday dim sum in early March 2012 and after a long 25 minute wait was shown to my table on the upper level - the karaoke bar. Level 1 was not well served by the trolleys and the wait was long. We gave up and asked for the standard dim sum spreads of Siew Mai, Har... More

I was introduced to Dragon Palace Chinese Restaurant by Chinese friends...and I have been back several times for a mid morning dim sum brunch. The prices are reasonable, the food selection is broad and well prepared, the service is quite attentive but it does get busy sometimes. Only negative last time was the service with paying our bill...that took 25... More

Had dim sum and dinner on different days. Food and service were excellent, but price was extraordinarily high. Recommend it only for special occasions. For comparable Chinese food and yum cha / dim sum, head to Northbridge Chinese at 26 Roe St. More

We went to our first yum cha experience and it was exactly that - an experience! The fast paced, hustle bustle of the restaurant made it great fun for us. We really enjoyed getting to try so many dishes that we normally wouldn't have. Everything that we had was delicious and the staff didn't seem to mind having to tell... More

After reading so many rave reviews about Dragon Palace, we came to the conclusion this is probably the best Chinese rest in Perth. In terms of location, ambience and its glaring crstya-lit facade, it probably shone like a star in a dark night. But we have to determine if its standards can come up against the best Chinese food we... More
