We had a takeaway from Omah's and found it to be nearly inedible. Very heavy sludgy food. Wouldn't go back.

We are now regulars at Omah's. With the competition that exists within walking distance in Port Melbourne that's really saying something.
On our last visit we went with friends and had the Tasty Beef, Nyonya Fish and Gado Gado. All dishes were excellent and packed a punch. We'd also recommend the Baba's Beef and ginger fish but the menu includes...

I was surprised when I went to this restaurant as the menu is not only Malaysian, but Thai, Indian and Chinese. I went to this restaurant with colleagues for lunch, there was a lunch menu which was around $19 for a curry, roti bread, rice, spring roll and samosa. The menu had a lot of dishes to choose from. We...

This restaurant had a good atmosphere. comfortable seating. Quick and efficient service. Clean. The food was delicious and had some different takes on the usual Malaysian fare. It was light and not oily. Served quickly with good sized portions. The meal was very fairly priced so we will definitely return. Very enjoyable. Licenced.
Excellent Malay nonya cuisine, the crabs were fresh and delicious with flavours ranging from subtle lemongrass and chilli to a sweet and spicy black pepper (my favorite). Five spice calamari was also excellent complimented by the coconut rice. Desserts delicious and all up excellent value for money.
I came here with my friend because it was around the corner. We has the scallop appetizer which was small and did not taste right with yams. I as ked fo wr the special mud crab with chili, but they were out even though we were there at the start of dinner hours. I settled for Omah's duck which had...

When we come over from the UK we always make time for a visit. Bring your own wine and pay corkage, common in Oz but not UK. Great variety of food to try. Love the soft shell crab and the curry platters. Yummy.
Omah's sets itself apart from other Melbourne Malaysian food venues in that it's not a brightly lit cafe full of students looking for a quick fix. No, Omah's is a place to settle in for a proper session of grown up Malaysian food to be enjoyed with a bottle of wine in a convivial setting. There's no rush here, take...

We booked a table at 7pm on a Thursday night. Service was good apart from an inexperienced waiter who got a bit muddled with the wine. Food is very good but the wine and soft drink is really expensive. Seems odd that a restaurant of this calibre doesn't have ice buckets. Parking is a bit of a nightmare, there is...
