One of the better Italian restaurants in a city where food is king,great atmosphere and service but make reservations on weekend and sit outside and enjoy.

this is not a pizza place it is a nice italian restaurant, good service and really nice food. nice place to eat with friends when not in a hurry to go anywhere.

Great atmosphere, great food, great location. If you want consistent food, value for money this is the place it has a great ethenic feel plus modern Italian cuisine. I have been coming here for 5 years and have not been disappointed yet! Definatley recommend this little gem

Very disappointed,garlic bread was not fresh,served as soon as we ordered it,was stale.The staff were quite immature giggling and whispering to each other.Our waitress confessed to us she was bored.Not once offered to pour our wine throughout the evening.For such a Highly recommended restaurant we left shaking our head.Was not what we expected.

The best restaurant in Lygon Street. Great food, great value, fast service. The staff are very friendly. The service second to none. You only have to look up attracting the attention of the floor manager and he will have a waiter/waitress straight to your table. Not to be missed.

The food was the first bad meal I have had in Melbourne. It was so salty that I felt very dehydrated. Thank God for the company and bottle of wine. Woolies serves better gnocchi!

We visited DiMattina's on the saturday night of the F1 Grand Prix weekend so of course Lygon street was going to be busy but this place got slammed there were people coming and going in droves and it seemed a large private party upstairs so it was mayhem. Service was great, waitress extremely attentive. Food was nice, a tad over priced but nice. Worth stopping in if you are in the area and looking for somewhere to eat.
