Passed the restaurant during the day and thought we'd give it a try. Didn't have a booking but the waitress assured us not a problem and led us to the bar while she sorted out a table. When I informed the bartender I usually drank NZ Sav Blanc's he gave me a taste of the french whites on offer so... More

We decided to go apontaneously on a Monday night - managed to get the table reserved immediatelay before we got there, waited worth half a glass champagne in the bar for the staff to get the table ready. Very pleasant and professional service, the menu was quite typical and traditional for a French bistro. We had snails and Moreton bay... More

Ate here with my wife on a trip to Melbourne. We took the specials of the day which included a duck and foie gras terrine and an 800g grass-fed wagyu to share, and loved it! The meal itself was delicious. The desserts in particular were amazing - we had the chocolate souffle (which was served overflowing with melted chocolate) and the... More

Arrived 9pm for only reservation available (9:30 ) - thought we would have a glass of champagne at the bar. Arrived (noticed loads of tables vacant?) and stood and stood and stood.. at the bar, bartender busy with imaginary customers! We said excuse me, is it ok if we had a drink at the bar.... He said ok (weren't we... More

First drinks at the bar: fantastic martini! Dinner was delicious: French food that is not pretentious just good produce cooked with expertise. Service attentive and professional.

If you love classical French food, then this is the place to go where it is executed very well by Shannon Bennett's chefs. Don't expect anything too much in the modern style. Staff very good, know theirmenu well and also their wines. Expensive so good for a special occasion.

Such a beautiful bistro which reminds me a lot of Paris, but the staff are friendlier. Delicious food, almost everything in butter and garlic as it should and chips cooked in goose fat - well, it's an indulgence well worth it.

Great quality traditional French cuisine plus very good wine list. Not cheap but acceptable for the quality meals they offered.
