What a great little find this place was! The crowded atmosphere was engaging and the food good. I found the wine list a tad expensive, but maybe I have a beer budget. Be prepared to wait if it is busy, especially if there is a show on, like the Comedy Festival when I was there, or book a table.

Il solito posto is hidden down a cobblestone laneway off Collins Street, and is a warm and welcoming destination on a cold night! It has great atmosphere and classic Italian food. I would recommend the share antipasto plate - a great selection and reasonably priced. But the real highlight was the chocolate pudding, that was lovely, don't miss it!
