For Chinese outside of Chinatown, this is the place. Fantastic!

Great food. Try fresh fish, stemed with no oodles etc. many great food choices. Prices good in relation to food quality. Noisy and crowded but accept that "vibe" and enjoy (but don't linger) an authentic and tasty meal. If you book, turn up on time. If you do not book, expect to queue. Pls note many diners are Chinese. Love this place. Whether we went as a couple or a group of 20, Pacific Seafood was perfect.
Went here for lunch - very buisy and noisy but welcoming, large menu and helpful staff who recommended several dishes and answered our questions about what others around us were having. Great seafood as might be expected, the soft shellcrab was excellent, and vegetable dishes good. Not fine dining but clean and enjoyable.
The BBQ meats are probably one of the best available in Melbourne, and the food off the menu and specials are also pretty good. The restaurant has recently undergone a facelift, so for the timebeing, decor is nice and fresh. Can always get a quick and fast meal here.
Don’t walk in expecting a slow meal, fine linen and silver service; because that is not what this restaurant is about.
Expect to wait in line for a table and get served authentic and original food that is fresh and fast. After five years of visiting this restaurant every month I’ve yet to get a bad meal or poor service....

Chinese New Year and the restaurant was full!! Still the food was fabulous!! One of the best Peking Duck in Melbourne. All the BBQ meats are wonderful! You must try the San choi bo, especially the seafood one!!
I've lived in HK for 18 years and this place could quite literally be a Melbourne branch of Cafe de Coral/Maxims, with less of a fast food feel. I spent a lot of time in Hong Kong and PS BBQ is exactly like a lot of the better food restaurants over there. Noisy, brash, bustling - dont go there for a quiet romantic evening. But do go there if you love well cooked "Chinese" food with a particular emphasis on seafood, duck and bbq pork. Food styles are...
