Description: George Calombaris' flagship Melbourne restaurant for MAdE Establishment has cemented itself on the global dining scene with its unique Modern Greek cuisine.In October 2006, the four directors joined together to form The Press Club Group, and opened their first venue, The Press Club Restaurant and Bar. This began a new era for George Calombaris and cemented his place as a culinary star for his Modern Greek Cuisine - never seen before Melbourne; where modern twists to traditional Greek cuisine has put this restaurant on the global map and has diner’s wanting more.The Press Club seats 90 guests and also offers a large, completely private dining room for up to 30 guests. This space can be split into two smaller rooms for groups of up to 18 and 10 guests. The open kitchen brings an element of drama to the contemporary dining room, and professional service staff, complete the winning combination.

I've been to Press Club a few times, it's always exceptional. My ONE complaint is it's popularity, it was - in my mind - a secret until recently. Super-slick service, wow food and a brilliant - sometimes literally - ambience

We've been to both The Press Club & The Little Press Club. Food in each is different, but both excellent. Great wine list by the glass in both. Would've liked a few more greek wines by the glass in The Press Club.

Waitress spilt a drink all over one of the people at our table and the glass smashed on the floor
Forgot one of our entrees
My chicken main was still bleeding when served had to wait 30 mins for another main
Charged us for complimentary salads

We had the misfortune to attend a 7 course degustation dinner here, last night. We arrived early, only to be herded out of the place & told to wait (outside was 37 degrees, little press next door squeezed us in like sardines) At 7 o'clock we were lined up like cattle waiting about 10 minutes to be seated.

Tripadvisor doesn't have enough stars for this fine restaurant! We had eaten bar food at the Press Club on a number of earlier occasions but this time chose the main dining room.
