I have been to some pretty ordinary restaurants around the world but this would have to be the worst. Disgraceful service. Waiter had to be called back to the table twice to finish taking orders. A number of meals failed to appear. Cynical tourist trap. Avoid at all costs.

Bad service & average food. Poor attitude of the staff. Not a good place to go.

Near the water, reasonable priced, good food. Staff appear to be backpackers but friendly and offer good service.

Been to this restaurant a few times. Always lively. Covers all ages. It is a casual restaurant and if it's a quiet intimate dinner that you're after, then this is not the place.... Great for group celebrations and when the weather is good, the outdoor dining is a lot of fun. Right on the beach Fab....

Unfortunately our booking had gone missing when we arrived, but despite being full the staff arranged for tables to be organised for our party as soon as possible and we ended up having a great night.

Excellent location on the beach. Only gripe is the prices, quite expensive for casual dining. They have just recently changed their menu and was disappointed that alot of the faves had been deleted e.g. burgers.

This cafe is right on the beach alongside the St Kilda Baths. Although it was crowded one Sunday morning for breakfast, we did not have to wait long. The menu is fairly small, quite trendy and certainly adequate. Prices were reasonable and they give a Seniors discount which is unusual for a cafe in this area. The coffee was good... More

Nothing special about this place. Food was cold and fish deep fried in oil that wasn't hot enough. Far better cafes about and the toilets could do with a good clean

The most troubling aspect of our lunch at Beachcomber Cafe was the number of tourists there. I felt for my City and hoped these tourists would not form an opinion of our food and service based on their experience here. There is nothing redeeming about this restaurant. Three of us went for lunch, all the food was poor, the service... More
