A private function, with shared platters on the tables. The food just kept coming! Outstanding scallops, tender pork belly with crispy skin, on pine nuts and pomegranite, gnocchi with just the right consistency, in a gorgonzola and walnut sauce, I could go on all night, as the food and wine did. The sharing plates for dessert just topped it off,... More

Terrible service, I mean where else would the waitress take a full bottle of wine from your table. Food was awful, cheese smelt bad and by bad I mean putrid. Dessert bowl placed on top of dirty main plate because they couldn't be bothered to clear it away. Never again!

As I entered the amazing venue of Rosatis I was drawn first to the beautiful mosaic floor and feel to the place.. The vast space and high ceilings has a atmosphere nothing else like it in Melbourne. We arrived at 7:30pm on a Friday night me and two friends. As I do first I always look at the wine list... More

Four of us were in Melbourne for several days and on the second day we found roasts for breakfast. We received a bright and happy reception on entering. The atmosphere was one of fun and laughter. Great eighties music which most of the patrons seemed to enjoy. From watching the I assume regular patrons arrive, it was with amazement that... More

Service: Let down by delivering the main courses before we had completed entrée. No real apology, basically just ‘oh well’! Food: Average ‘Australianised’ Italian dishes. We had seven dishes amongst the three of us, five were average and two were very average. The wine list is ok with a selection of Australian and Italian wines. Value: About average for this... More

We thought the building was really interesting and had high hopes when we sat down. The menu had quite a lot of choice but the wine list was a worry with an overpriced selection. The service was interesting to watch - lots of young people running around in their Nikes looking pretty stressed and miserable although one male who took... More

It's a great location and an interesting building however the important bits, food and service, are not so good. Our calamari starter was fine but our main course linguine was bland. The wine was overpriced and the service was disinterested. Try Terra Rossa next door.

I went there for dinner with 5 other colleagues on a business trip. As we arrived (early) the quite large restaurant was still empty. The service was done by a few very young people - the quality was more than questionable: When they served the wine, they rudely interrupted our communication to taste the wine. The meals - I and... Wandering up Flinders Lane on a Saturday night we decided that Rosati's was the place to stop. From the moment we entered to when we left, we had excellent service. The restaurant itself was unusually large for a Flinders Lane establishment, but it was warm and welcoming on a cool winter's night. We shared some plates for entree and I... More

Rosati is a coffee/lunch staple - great coffee, good simple food and fast service if you need it. Great for a business or social catch up in the working day.
