“Unassuming little Japanese place in Chinatown - fabulous food!”

Small plain little place at the end of cul de sac in Chinatown, but the food had been recommended so we sat down. Delicious food! Typical of the restaurants Melbourne is famous for.

We chose to dine at Yamato based on previous TA reviews. What a mistake! The place was tiny, crowded and run down. This is such a cute little place down the end of Corrs lane, the food is delicious and staff are great too. Is a small cosy place so get in early so you are not left waiting for a table as it can get very busy in there. I recommend the hotpots which are cooked at your table and come... More
