I frequent the Moroccan Soup Bar, and like some other reviewers, I was first surprised by the abrasiveness of the staff. But upon continuous visits I realise it's half the charm of this place. The food is beyond delicious and never fails to satisfy. I highly reccommend the set banquet and having a very empty stomach. Always come a little...

Some of the reviews below are plain wrong. Yes, they do have soup (two kinds - haraira, which is spicy, and lentil, which is lemony). And you don't have to have the banquet. Though the banquet is good value. As its name suggests, it is a banquet. if you don't want to eat a lot, order individual dishes - talk...

I have to admit I was put off a little by the fact that you can not book a table.
We arrived at 5:50pm.. There was already 10 people in a queue already.. They open at 6pm. Doors open at 6 pm & we ate greater by a lovely lady & told which table to take....we get sitted. The place...

I noticed some people have rated this place down for the amount of food wastage. A friend had a container in the car so we snuck in a whole bowl we have leftover of this delicious yoghurt nut mix thing with crunchy bits in the bottom and nutmeg on top. So yummy.
The dips looked interesting but I didn't dare...

For $25 a head, we were absolutely flooded with food which made me feel like I was at an American all-you-can eat diner. It's tasty food, but god there was sooo much, it's such a sad waste to feed people that much and to then toss it out. A complete waste.
There are only two options for dinner - 1....

What a great place! I wish we had one near me in Sydney. We took our own containers to the restaurant to have them filled with a selection of dishes for four of us dining at home. They chose what we were having, estimated the price and supplied us with a delicious, interesting selection from their menu. I look forward...

The vegetarian restaurant is very popular, that you will have to line up to get a seat. There are no menus, but your host will come over and discuss what she has to offer. This is informal eating at its best.

The Moroccan Soup Bar is a gem! All vegetarian food and a simple way of ordering. They don't have menus but ask you how hungry you are and provide a banquet based on this. (Price differences between hungry ($20) and very hungry ($25) is low). The best dish was pitta-bread nachos with chickpeas - it has a delightful nutty/buttery flavor!...
