Mario's is an italian cafe that's been around since the late 1980's. You can't book, and you can only pay in cash. It's simple honest food and service and it's populated by all sorts of lifestyles - from celebs, to locals, to tourists, to out of town regulars. It's not trendy, it's just super popular cos they got the basic... More

I wrote a review for Marios and expressed my disappointment that soy milk was not an option there. I deleted the review because I recently heard they have started to offer soy. I'd like to say thank you. I'm impressed. Marios is part of my history; it's been operating in Brunswich St for years and once upon a time was... More

Mario's serves THE best coffee. Everything we ate here was fresh and tasty and served with a smile by the brilliant wait staff. More

Popped around to Mario's for a quick bite to eat for lunch. (I work in the Fitzroy area.) The atmosphere was cozy, and the place was full - doing good trade considering it was Wednesday after 1pm. Service was good, with one little hiccup. I had some food spattered on me while the waitress was cleaning up the plates from... More

Heard so much about this place. So we went for Breakfast, the meal was disappointing, my eggs were not cooked fully. We live in Melbourne, and we Melbournians love our coffee...Mario's couldn't even do that right...very bitter and too hot....would not go back do to the experience. More
