Great food，reasonable price. Wagu Beef teriyaki is a must try dish. They provide free meatball for each guest and it was so yummy' Very happy meal..will go again!
We have eaten at Hanabashi a lot over the years, but recently returned for a moriwase dinner recently and we were so disappointed. The new sushi chef is not anywhere as good as the last, and frankly although everything was "nice" it was really ordinary with little variety of fish, and nothing to write home about. With the plethora of... More
Hanabishi is one of the places that we keep going back. Great food always. We are particularly impressed with the sushi, sashimi and tempura. The sushi and sashimi is fresh and delicate. Tempura is lightly battered just like in japan. The 9 course dessert selection is a must - allows you to try all their best desserts as a tasting... More
Popped in for a quick lunch between meetings. Found the service to slow and inconsistent in that 3 meals arrived but one had to wait another 5 minutes before they got theirs. The quality of the food was good without being memorable. The service was slow but fussy. They could have used another pair of hands on the floor.
The four of us had a hankering for Japanese so I looked up restaurants on Trip Advisor and picked Hanabishi. Extremely glad I did as it was a great find. The tuna sashimi was hands down the best I've had, and the shabu shabu was delicious. We only had the quality meat instead of premium but I can only imagine... More
The staff are attentive, whilst also being discreet. The food is delicious and in true Japanese style. We enjoyed a wonderfully intimate dinner at Hanabishi and will definately visit again on our next visit to Melbourne.
Yes, if you have a short lunch break, head to Hanabishi. Don't bother spending your 12 bucks on a soggy roll and a styrened coffee. Make sure you call ahead - as it's an intimate place and you could end up with that soggy roll after all. Service is polite, courteous and swift. No problems sharing plates. These people know... More
Whatever you do, save room for the Dessert Assortment. Never had so much fun eating a variety of amazing desserts: custards, home-made ice-cream, parfaits, ...Yum! And the Grand Chef's Choice Sushi/Sashimi platter was masterful. Well crafted like a work of art, with all the fish being really fresh and tasty. I'll definitely return. Enjoy!
Hanabishi is an old favourite of mine. As a result I took a young Japanese student that I was mentoring to a farewell lunch. As she and I agreed the food was excellent but the ambience and service was very disappointing. We were seated downstairs at the back of the restaurant. The decor was pleasant but it was filled with... More
While staying in Melbourne last week I searched trip adviser for the best Japanese restaurant in the CBD and came up with Hanabishi. We were not disappointed real Japanese food served in a classy Restaurant cooked by an authentic Japanese chef who has owned the place for 25 years. Try the Teriyaki beef the best we have ever tasted. Checkout... More
