On my last trip to Melbourne I enjoyed a meal at Bottega in Bourke Street with a few colleagues. We enjoyed the use of a private room, a great menu and excellent wine to balance it.
Lovely meal, went there for our tenth wedding anniversary. Was a bit noisy, may have just been unlucky to have group next to us.
Had an early evening meal on a Saturday night and the service was very good and at no time did we feel rushed. Have eaten at this restaurant and it was nice to take just a coffee there in the Melbourne sun. Need to come back and eat again soon
In the heart of the French end of the city between Exhibition and Spring Sts on Bourke St, this is an exciting eatery with some interesting takes in old favourites for example the deconstructed Cabrese salad. Great home cured Gravalax and fresh fish perfectly prepared. The Tiramisu is excellent, rich and complex.
One of a number of restaurants almost one after the other, I was enticed by the interior & menu. Service, dinner & atmosphere were all pleasant. What was lacking was a wow factor which would entice me to return.
