The rooftop bar is serving tasty tapas including $2 oysters on a Friday. The cocktails have a genrous amount of alcohol and the right amount of fruit. The bar staff have extremely good service by remembering your order and offering suggestions about there menu. I will be back More

On a tour of Melbourne restaurants we went to The Aylesbury for starters. All were very , very good - the duck with beetroot, Beef tartare with smoked quail egg,Mackerel but the star was the Aylesbury Garden salad. I am the sort of person that reacts to salad in much the same way as Vampires do to sunlight but this... More

If you've got a palette for good spirits and love to relax with great views then you have to check out the Aylesbury. After stumbling along one of the many great streets of Melbourne we noticed a sign 'The Aylesbury Rooftop' - and just had to check it out. Well worth it. With well over 50 spirits on offer (and... I seriously just had the best meal I've ever had in my life at The Aylesbury - and I've eaten at good restaurants all around Australia and the world. Although it wasn't on the menu, we asked for a 'degustation' style meal and they happily agreed to provide it. We started with Sydney rock oysters served with a strawberry dipping... More

Really nice bar and cocktail, nice service in the restaurant but snapper with rock salt was not d-boned and the waiter did not clean up the fish. Bad, rally bad wine list, Cannonau Tonaghe $273 seriously? it does cost $60 in regular place in Australia and 25 euro in Italy.... More

Great food, interesting choices, great quality , wait staff were excellent , really attentive . Only thing , and I think it's because I wear glasses, I found it hard to read the menu in the dim light - I get that alot in Melbourne - but the staff helped explain stuff so all good More

After reading several good local reviews of The Aylesbury we went there for lunch. You can get small or larger share plates, or a traditional main if you wish. We were warmly greeted by our server Esther (get her if you can!). We chose the small (yet generous) Pig and Fig plate of delicious prociutto or parma ham with perfectly... More
