If you make a reservation you must be lucky to get a table. But if you got your table you better leave after your have had your meal and make room for others. A bit overcrowded and loud, not good for conversations. The very good food is worth having all the above trouble. The mixture of herbs in the dishes... More

Well that was simply amazing. I jumped on trip advisor to see what was nearby to try and I just landed here at chin chin to have one of the best meals I can remember. So fresh! So textual! I will make a family trip to Melbourne now just so my wife can experience what I just did... Brilliant! More

Lucky enough to get a table without a booking. Better than expected. I had read all the food was made off site so was expecting it to all taste like microwave. Really good though. Pulled pork rolls the best. Good staff. Very helpful. Wine list a bit boring. More

We have been to Chin Chin 3 times now, and each time the atmosphere was pumping and the food delicious but service let them down. No bookings, so if you don't want to wait, go early (around 6pm). If you're happy to wait go later and put your name on the list - they'll call you when a table is... More

We had a great Sunday afternoon lunch at Chinchin after walking in from the street around the corner from our city hotel with no expectations and no previous experience. Flavoursome, hearty Asian food, mbig share plates and friendly, snappy service in a big, open warehouse like room. Loved it! More

The food is absolutely fantastic! Fresh, flavoursome and tasty! Wait staff were efficient and service was good. Highly reccommended and I would definitely go back again. However, the restaurant does not take booking so get there very early or be prepared to wait for at least an hour for dinner. The bar at the basement really helps! But worth the... More

My husband and I decided to try this place after hearing of it from family and on a Melbourne travel program. We were very excited and hoping to get a table for Saturday lunch as they don't take bookings. Not so good for planned get together with friends if you cant secure a table!! However we were lucky and settled... More

Stunning. We let the waiter choose our meal using the "feed me" option and we had the most perfect mix of flavours and a really beautiful meal. Worth the raves and deserves it's popularity. But if you don't like queuing - go early as this place hums and there are no bookings. More

Went to Chin Chins for an early dinner on Sunday - got there about 4.30pm and was seated straight away. By 5 the crowd had really picked up and people were putting their name down to come back. For entree we ordered pork rolls, spring rolls, chicken wings and corn fritters - fresh and good. Mains were tasty but didn't... More
