Wow, it's been a while since I have been so impressed by a restaurant. Having heard so many good reviews from friends and reading about Golden Fields in Inside magazine, I have been wanting to go and try it myself for ages. The food was 10/10, the decor simple but charming. It was the service that impressed me the most.... More

Came here on Grand Prix weekend & understandably was very busy & noisy. Tables quite close together so not the place for a romantic evening nor to be able to have a proper conversation!! Staff pleasant & efficient - helpful in altering the dishes a little for dietary needs. Food delicious ,fresh , flavoursome & lots of choices on menu.... More

From the moment we arrived , every effort was made to ensure we enjoyed our evening . Whilst very busy on a Thursday evening the front of house welcomed us warmly and had us seated at the counter after a brief wait . Funky Asian fusion share plates . Had pork belly rolls with kimchi, pork dumplings , lobster rolls... More

What a great addition to the food scene in Melbourne. We were there for a late lunch around 3pm, a few diners, but still had good atmosphere, great music and lovely views across the park. The service was very good as it should be when it's not busy. The menu has amazing fresh interesting new wave Asian dishes, classic yet... More

We were invited to this restaurant by friends, there were six of us dining hence why we had so many of the dishes but I will get to those a little later on. We dined on a Monday night and were able to get a table easily although it was busy, we did not arrive until about 8.30pm. The only... More

This is an interesting restaurant, with excellent service and an exciting menu that may take a few trips to explore. This was a lunch visit and the Twice Roasted Duck is to die for. Sort of Peking Duck but better. Lots of wait people and the service reflected this close attention. Somehow a small taster plate (Pickled cucumber and radish)... More

We had a relaxed sunday lunch for a group of five people at the large round table in the back of the restaurant. We had originally booked for three, but at the last minute phoned the morning of and they were able to accommodate the larger group. THe service was warm and welcoming, and they are very helping with serving... More

While on the pricier end for restuarant dining, Golden Fields has many options to choose from. From small dishes (single oysters) to the very large (Lamb Shoulder), there is something for every appetite. I highly recommended the cuttlefish starter - larger than you'd expect, as well as the soft-shell crab - alsop more generous than we anticipated. The Cuttlefish is... More

From the moment we walked in we were greeted by a warm, welcoming smile and and the friendly service only increased from that point. We sat at the bar and spoke to the chefs as they prepared and chopped. They were keen to talk about the dishes and we were keen to learn; the food was magnificent. We shared raw... More
