Nice little restaurant cafe, as we exited from the Block Arcade. They had a large projector playing black and white images - which captured our attention. Quaint and very nice... The coffee we had here as well as the meals - were good.

I'm glad you enjoyed your Olio experience and took the time to write a review. The black & white movies are a lot of fun. It's great watching people sitting back enjoying their meal, having a chat and watching the screen. Hopefully we'll see you next time you're in Melbourne.

Even though it wasn't a busy night the speed of service was a bit slow. One of our drinks orders did not get filled. But you can't help but like the friendly Italian staff and fresh filling food. It's location in Block Place is very Melbourne. It has stiff competition from lots of other eateries in this lane and the...

Thank you for taking the time to review Olio. We pride ourselves on our friendly staff and the use of fresh, quality ingredients so I'm happy you enjoyed these. I was disappointed to read about the slow service and the drink you didn't receive. Good service is one of the key ingredients to a great night out. Olio looking half...

Had the veal satimbocca and it didn't disappoint. They also made up a special salad for me which was great. Felt totally fine sitting there solo reading my book. Lovely friendly Italian staff as well.

When we first walked in to Olio we were greeted with the friendliest (but not pretentious )wait staff from this place. What a place to visit on our last day of visiting Melbourne. The great service didn't stop there, with great breakfast (made fresh) and coffees, we will definitely be back and this time we'll try for dinner.

We were checking for a cafe in a crowded laneway (on the spur of the moment) for a light meal and found it in a very, very busy post-Christmas bustling inner city. The greeting at the door was friendly, the service was excellent and the food fresh and substantial and more importantly, in a busy restaurant, we were not seated...

With so many options for breakfast in this area, we chose Olio because it seemed to have great atmosphere - very Italian with Italian staff and decor. Service was friendly and efficient, food arrived soon after and was well presented and delicious. We had eggs benedict and florentine and bacon and eggs for the children. Prices reasonable. My discerning a`husband...

2 families for a quick mid-week lunch during school holidays. The waiter was friendly, knowledgeable and the food came quickly. The kids loved the breakfast choices available at lunch time on request.

This was my second visit. The first time I had a warm squid salad with rocket, which was average. On my last visit I ordered the scallop and snapper risotto with tomato and saffron from the specials list. It sounded great. I was given a plate of wet mush, with a few bits of thinly horizontally sliced scallops and chunks...
