Located close to the Travelodge, this is a good place to go for a beer and quick bite to eat. They serve mostly typical pub fare. The exception is their mussel selection. Great selection of Beer.

Hi,
Thanks for the feedback- We are especially proud of our Mussels and the efforts our chefs go to to get them straight out of the water and onto your table so I'm glad to hear you enjoyed them and hope to see you again next time you are in Melbourne-

We went with family to these beacon of Belgian beer in Melbourne. The food was good, they had a nice beer menu, and the service was very satisfying. The location is great too. We highly recommend it as the prices are not too exaggerated either.

The staff were ignorant and couldn't even understand or say the correct names and Pronunciation of the beers.

Quite expensive, loud and not that unique an experience in my opinion.

The waiter didn't appear very interested in waiting. The service was non existent. The food was actually very good, but when we asked for ground pepper, it hasn't arrived yet. Overall, an amusing experience, simply because the waiter was so disinterested in actually waiting on people.

Beer selection is modest as far as Belgian beer establishments go. Bar food is ok, but don't expect restaurant quality here. It is a bar first and foremost, and makes a poor attempt at a restaurant. However it is a nice place to sit outside and have a few bees and snacks on a sunny day. Avoid Thursday and Friday...

As a bar, this place gets by just fine. The range of Belgian beers is good with quite a fair selection of the more popular ones on tap. The background music is seductively French/ Belgian and played at just the right kind of level to allow enjoyment without being over bearing....so far, so good. As a restaurant however, it is...

Dining alone can sometimes be a bit daunting but staff at this restaurant were lovely and looked after me beautifully. Best mussels I've ever had in a Belgian beer cafe and I've been to quite a few. If I stay in Southbank again I'll make sure I visit again.
