Sunday brunch with friends in a very very cosy setting was beyond expectation. From the yummy baked eggs with veggie, presented simply in iron-cast pans and recycled score sheets, it was an unforgettable experience. Do not be fazed by the queue. Only just discovered Birdman Eating and loved it. Baked beans are delicious, served in a small iron cocotte with big, fat toast. Brioche French toast was a big hit, with bacon-y stuff and other bit and bobs. Great coffee. Baked eggs to travel for. So good. Great food and great service to boot. These guys obviously value good service because all of the wait staff are so consistently good to the level of a high class restaurant without the fuss. They are quick to top up your water and seem to inately know what you need. More

I had an excellent meal here in January. The Zucchini Fritter starter was really nicely done and so flavourful. The Octopus Salad Nicoise was perfect. The service was attentive, and our lovely Polish waitress recommended a great Chardonnay. Good vibe in a buzzy neighbourhood. I will definetely come back next time I'm in Melbourne. More

Lovely funky little restaurant with an ecelectic menu with lots of different dishes to share. Menu offers unusual combination of flavours and good wine list complements. Not so sure about the deconstructed fish and chips - none of our table really enjoyed it at all. Staff friendly and helpful with good advise. Definitetly one to re-visit. More
