The food was delicious and used many local ingedients. The waiter was very attentive. Would go back to try more of the menu. More

We were very happy to get into this place for a Saturday night after being told it was fully booked earlier in the day...it wasn't fully booked when we returned. For starters we had delicious bread with oil and vinegar...for a starter the arancini was delicious - comprising Gorgonzola and a light tomato sauce. The beer and local Pinot Gris... More

Smolt is a delight - every dish we ordered was tasty and hearty. The warm modern decor made it a cosy place on a chilly night. I've told my foodie friends about it, definitely worth eating here on a trip to Hobart. More

We did a walk in on Easter Thursday. The place was pretty full and the food was amazing. But the service was very, very, very slow - over an hour for Entre, then another hour for main. Good for wine sales, but ..... More

My girlfriends and I are locals and decided to try lunch at Smolt. For the price on the menu and the describtion of food we were expecting a much better meal. Very disappoint with food presented and pretty average food for how much we paid. My friends and i wouldnt go back. Much better places to eat in Salamanca! More

Smolt had a modern funky atmosphere and we had great service. I have no doubt the food is fantastic but our experience was a little mixed. The slow cooked lamb neck was outstanding. Our side salad with potato and pine nuts was delicious and the octopus really yummy. The scallops (with prosciutto on a pea purée) were absolutely tiny. They... More

After a big lunch, we weren't sure if dinner was required, but ended up having a lovely meal at Smolt (which means immature salmon). The pizzas were reportedly average, but the Brunt Island oysters and arancinin were sensational. The risotto was perfectly cooked and was topped with thick tentacles of octopus - divine! More
