Great reputation but let down by the food. The famous seafood platter is stingy, prawns were not as fresh as it can be. Surprising to have so many people still eating here, but look closer, mostly tourist who dont know better.
What's positive? The steak was good, the view is pretty, oysters are good, nice friendly staff, maybe a bit...

The reputation is not enough! The fabulous position is let down by awful decor and 70s pine furnishings. This dreariness spoils the food, which is quite good. Lovely fresh oysters, beautifully cooked Morwong served with just the right accompaniments. Shouldn't have chosen the deep fried selection - good quality produce (except the prawns) spoiled by cardboard crumbs. Cheerful but slow...

Service was good, great location, great view, but really showing its age now. Food was good, not spectacular, but well worth a visit if you want somewhere to eat on the waterfront.

Took interstate executive to Mures for lunch. Worst amateur seafood ever - overpriced, skimpy, un-fresh oysters - felt like eating off the kids menu. Fallen into 'serving the stupid tourists' mode of pathetic food..... hire restuarant management and staff that are passionate!

The decor was upscale...

Having been to Mures in the "80's" and again 4 years ago .I was expecting once again to be really impressed with a seafood extravaganza.
But instead I experienced a noisy somewhat Pub atmosphere. It also appeared to be understaffed . I was with a group of 10 and from all accounts I had the best meal and that was...

My mood went downhill immediately upon opening the door into this museum of 80's blandness. Pine wood paneling and carpet more suited to a housing commission flat than a restaurant greeted me.
I had visions of lobster and scallops dancing in my head when the plastic coated menu arrived to shatter the dream. I think six mains to choose from...

The decor is dated and the food is too. We expected it to be good but it was a pub style meal at fine dining prices. Crumbed scallops with chips, fish in batter etc. It is food you can get at the fish and chip outlet on the other edge of the pier.
The service was slow throughout the night...
