We came to Hobart on a weekend and had a voucher for this resturant. We were welcomed and the food we had was great my husband had the pork belly and I the fish finished off with Creme Brulee. The wine was a little expensive but the setting was lovely, this restaurant is not for the quick meal/cheap meal but... More

Good restaurant which is different from others in Hobart. Excellent wine list, which can be expensive if you are not vigilant. Visited on Saturday and had their lamb plat de jour which was tasty if slightly fatty, but I think it was the authentic way in which it was cooked rather in contrast to the Australian style, in other words... Inflexible, arrogant and unwilling to accommodate a client's food allergies. Got up and left. More

I took my mother for a special meal and was pleasantly surprised by this little gem. We had the tasting menu and really enjoyed the experience. Service was excellent. The lamb and the creme brûlée were superb! I'd definitely go there again and again! More

Booked in here as we had heard and read good things about this restaurant. From booking in to getting a table to getting a drink... everything was bad. When we booked the person on the phone was very rude but we thought we would give them the benefit of the doubt. Arrived and was suprised by how small the shop... More

I was a little leery when my wife booked us in to Remi's for dinner on a visit to Hobart. Over the years we have had bad experiences with overtly "French" restaurants in Australia (The Boulevarde in Avalon, Sydney and especially Chez Maurice et Linda in Balgowlah). So we went inside the lovely old house on Macquarie Street with some... More

Ive been here 3 times over several months and each time found the food tasty and authentic. On my last visit had the cassoulet with duck confit which I found delicious. The restraint itself is on the outskirts of the city and unfortunately often may only have a handful of people in it which detracts from the atmosphere. Love the... More

We dined at Remi de Provence whilst we were in Hobart. We had the tasting menu, with selected wines, for $125 pp, and had an amazing meal. The food was divine and the staff were very helpful and knowledgable in selecting the perfect wine. It was a lovely experience. More

Located a little way from Hobarts centre is this small but well run french restuarant. At the front is the wine cellar and tasting room where you can sample local and french wines along with cheese plates amongst a relaxed setting before commencing your meal in the main dining area. The dining area is simply but tastefully decorated. The staff... More
