The coffee is pretty bad, but the food is fine. They serve lunch within a ridiculously small window of time though - several times I've been there and they have stopped serving all food except cake! Not everyone wants a sweet cake for a snack..... More

Make sure you bring your credit card as drinks and food are pricey here. But perfect if you are looking for the perfect relaxing area. Nice staff and very well presented. More

Restaurant really uninspiring. Seems as if it needs a good injection of new ideas. More

We had a lovely lunch - would recommend the curried scallop pie - sat out on the decking overlooking the lovely green gardens with views of the Derwent River. Good service in spite of the busy lunch trade.Servings were substantial and good value. More

Went there twice during my recent trip back to Tassie, had a wonderful surprise as to just how great this place is. Very professional and friendly service, staff knowledgeable about the menu and very accommodating, particulary to my wife's need for gluten-free food. The food was absolutely fantastic, we had frittata and the Thai prawn salad and they were awesome.... More

After a late morning ramble - for free -through Hobart's gorgeous Royal Botanical Gardens with two kids including the Japanese garden filled with water and Maples, vegetable patch, herb garden and a ride on the old steam powered carousel we were ready for lunch. We had wonderful sparkling wine (42 south) with vegetable fritatta, vanilla slice and lastly a delicious... More

We were welcomed from the moment we bump into Scott and asked if we could sit at the Reserved table okn the balcony! He obligingly said it had been reserved for us! He was very cheeky, but we liked that and he could sense that it was not offedning us! We drank local red and a fabulous local beer (... More

Get for a coffee after wandering around the gardens. After being seated the waitress said she would be right back. I think she forgot about us. After 10 minutes finally caught someones attention. 20 minutes later we were finally served Luke warm bitter coffee. The view is great but the restaurant is overrated. More

Went for a coffee but stayed for lunch and am so glad we did. Located in the Botanical Gardens overlooking the river on a sunny spring day the views were delightful. The menu was small but provided enough choices to please most palates. My friend had the soup of the day - a rich pumpkin that was tasty and filling.... More
