A little pretentious, average wine. Nice food but not worth the money - there are far better alternatives in the Hobart area. Lovely views of course and the adjacent MONA museum of old and new art is an obvious bonus. More

Brilliant from start to finish. Entree of crab ravioli and main of slow-cooked ocean trout with wheat risotto. Delicious, as was their 2006 Chardonnay. Top-notch stemware (Riedel) and cutlery. Friendly and professional service from both waitstaff and sommelier. Highly recommended. More

The crab ravioli was disappointing, and one in our party left his uneaten. Credit to Source though, the charge was removed from the bill. The velouté was a little over creamy. Ocean trout was fabulous and steaks were also good. But best thing about this restaurant was the view. More

David Walsh should be disappointed that the staff at the Source are pompous as it seems to defeat his egalitarian vision of MONA. The setting had a great view but was decked out too clinically and the staff were largely pompous. If you can focus on the great food and ignore your surroundings still worth a visit! More
