This special restaurant has been around many years and the menu is tried and tested to perfection. The food is Swiss/French influence with delicate scallop and cream sauce puff, hearty soup in your own urn big enough for 2, and a variety of well liked mains including snapper fillets, prawn salads and venison - all perfectly cooked. The service from... More

Hadnt been for almost 10 years and it's still very good. I was there on business and sick of the basic pub or prolific Asian places so decided it was a treat night. When you travel a lot for business you need to treat yourself every now and again. I got the pepper steak with veg and a side of... More

Absolutely the best you can get. The greeting, staff, owner, food, all of it, top notch. This was the best restaurant we have dined in anywhere in Australia. The way it is designed limited the noise level. The seating was comfortable and inviting. We loved the attention to detail and the impeccecable service and attention throughout the meal. The Potato... More

Absolutely decidant and only for the special occasions, but well worth it for the super comfy eames chairs. More

The restaurant has a nice ambiance, large tables and comfy chairs. Staff were friendly and very attentive. Food was delicious (I recommend the venison). Instead of a wine list, you have to go and choose wine from their cellar area. This was interesting. Would definitely return. More

I have been to this restaurant a number of times for business dinners and lunch. The furnishing inside is great: limited noise due to carpets and soft, comfortable chairs and an option for a private dining area for a group. The lunch specials are great too. Food is always of super quality and it is refreshing to find classic silver... More

We've been regulars here for over 25 years, and it's still under the same ownership; that has to say a lot about the quality and consistency of the place. The menu has hardly changed, apart from seasonal specials - European cooking with a nod to owner Leo Schadegg's Swiss origins. Alphutte pioneered the walk-in wine cellar concept in Adelaide, and...
